Objectives: Update the new common practice in FUE hair transplantation tecniques
Introduction: Hair transplantation has a long history. The development of the techniques depend on trend from the patients. The history began of large punch transferring and then strip harvesting. Recent 10 years, FUE overcome FUT already. However, there is a pain point for FUE that it need the shaving of the hair during the procedure. The non shaven and long hair FUE are developed to serve this need.
Materials / method: The history of hair restoration surgery began in many decades ago.
Starting with the group of surgeons attempting to eradicate the bald spot by variety of excision and flaps. Later in time, we found the hair loss depended on genetic influencer, the reconstruction flaps had been obsolete. Once the recognition of gene defects in hair loss was published, the transferring of donor area with composite grafts, the large 4 mm punches, were used.

Conclusion: Recently, many hair surgeons had adopt the non-shaven and long hair FUE , more and more in their practice. The total number of the procedure increase worldwide. The patient’s comfort indicates the trend, and we all know that, the non-shaven and long hair help facilitate the recovery process
