Introduction: Skin boosters have become a popular solution in aesthetic medicine for improving skin hydration, elasticity, and texture. These injectable treatments typically incorporate active ingredients like hyaluronic acid, amino acids, vitamins, or peptides. To better understand the competitive landscape, a structured questionnaire was distributed to six companies offering skin booster products. This analysis focuses on their responses, highlighting similarities, unique selling points, and future trends in skin booster development.
Materials / method: Questionnaire Design: The survey collected data on product composition, mechanisms of action, clinical indications, application protocols, and patient outcomes. Six prominent companies specializing in skin boosters were invited to participate, representing a diverse range of product offerings.
Responses were systematically analyzed and categorized to identify trends, unique features, and innovation opportunities.
Answers were evaluated and tricky questions will be proposed for an interesting discussion very useful to clarify differences, indications and contraindications.
Results: All products includ hyaluronic acid as a primary ingredient, with variations in molecular weight and crosslinking technology. Additional ingredients such as peptides, amino acids, and antioxidants were included in select formulations to enhance regenerative properties, creating differences in different brands.
Treatment protocols varied, with differences in recommended session frequency, injection techniques and personal guidelines.
Conclusion: The analysis reveals that skin booster products share a core focus on hydration and elasticity enhancement, with differentiation achieved through unique formulation strategies and marketing claims. While hyaluronic acid remains the cornerstone of these treatments, also other materials can be useful for final regeneration. This comparative evaluation provides a valuable reference for practitioners seeking to optimize product selection and patient outcomes.
