Dr Katerina Gkouvi is enchanted by clinical dermatology while she is also a firm believer in aesthetic medicine.

Her background is varied having graduated from the Medical School of Aristoteleion University of Thessaloniki, Greece, followed by receiving her title of Specialist in Dermatology- Venereology, being trained in Lasers in Medical field with practical implementation in Dermatology in Ulm, Germany, in Mesotherapy in Aesthetic field in Paris, France, in Cryosurgery in Athens, Greece and later by concluding a Master in Aesthetic Medicine, University of Camerino, Italy.  

During this time she worked under the tutelage of a number of world-renowned professors where she was able to develop and finesse her techniques and get acquainted with innovative medical devices.  

She worked as a consultant dermatologist in Social Insurance Institute for four years in Thessaloniki, Greece.  In the same city, she also provided her services in dermatological cases as external partner in the Social Care unit Agios Panteleimon and in Saint Luke’s hospital. 

She has made presentations in Medical congresses and has published Medical articles nationally and internationally.

She is a member  of several professional societies,  such as  Hellenic Society for Dermatology and Venereology, Hellenic Society for Dermatologic Surgery- Laser and Aesthetic Dermatology , Greek Anti-aging Society, Society for Aesthetic Medicine and Non Ablative Surgery(SAMNAS), Royal Dutch Society for the Promotion of Medicine (Koninklijke Nederlandsche Maatschappij  tot bevordering der Geneeskunst -KNMG).

She speaks, except from her native language, English, German, Italian, French and Dutch. 

The last eight years she has her own practice, Gkouvi Dermatology based in the center of Thessaloniki which brings together Clinical Dermatology and Cosmetic Medicine to achieve maximum results.
