Dr Ismael FAQIH

Dr. Ismael Faqe is a prominent plastic surgeon based in Erbil, Kurdistan Region of Iraq. He graduated from Hawler Medical University in 2007 and later earned a Master's degree in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from the University of Sulaimany in 2016. In 2018, he obtained the American Board of Aesthetic Medicine from the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine. Dr. Faqe is a member of several professional organizations, including the Kurdistan Society of Plastic Surgeons (KSPS), the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).

He currently works as a plastic surgeon at Rozhawa Hospital and PAR Private Hospital in Erbil. Additionally, he is the director of the Vanest Plastic Surgery Center in Erbil and is a regular speaker at national and international conferences on plastic surgery.

Dr. Faqe has also been involved in discussions regarding the ethical and religious aspects of cosmetic surgery. He criticized a recent fatwa issued by the Kurdistan Islamic Scholars Union that deemed "unnecessary" cosmetic surgeries as sinful, arguing that the ruling did not consult specialists and could lead to misinformation in the cosmetic surgery market.
