Dr Lokesh KUMAR

Dr Lokesh Kumar is a post graduate in Surgery and Plastic Surgery from India’s premier Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research Chandigarh. He further received his Plastic surgery Training fro various reputed hospitals in UK. On his return to India in 1993 he initially worked at Holy Family Hospital and later joined Apollo Hospital where he established the department of Plastic surgery. He also owns a private clinic exclusively for Cosmetic surgery and Medicine in New Delhi.Dr Lokesh Kumar has served as office bearer of various organizations in India and abroad. He is past President of Indian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and Past treasurer of Association of Plastic surgeon’s of India. He has served as National Secretary of International society of Aesthetic Plastic surgery for two consecutive terms and has also been a board member of ISAPS. He has been on editorial board of reputed Aesthetic Surgery Journal USA which is the official journal of American society of Aesthetic Plastic surgery. He was awarded Ethicon Professorship in Cosmetic surgery.He is the section editor of Aesthetic section of a six volume text book on plastic surgery by Theme publications. He has contributed many chapters in this book and many other books on Plastic surgery.He has various extracurricular interests like Indian Classical music ,Golf and Flying etc. His main professional interests today are Medical lasers for Aesthetic indications and Cosmetic Surgery. He has his particular interest in Rhinoplasty and he is President Elect of Rhinoplasty Society of India.Presently Dr Kumar is heading a large teaching department of Plastic surgery as Principal Director and Head  at a very prominent corporate hospital called BLK-MAX  Super specialty Hospital in the city of New Delhi INDIA.
