Dr Olga ORLOVA

Orlova O.R.,MDPresident of the Russian Botulinum Toxin Society, Professor of Nervous Diseases Chair in First MSMU named after IM Sechenov and Department of Cosmetology and cellular technologies RNIMU, head of the neurological department in the Center for Interdisciplinary Dentistry and Neurology.Born the May 5th 1958 in St.Petersburg, RF, she graduated in 1981 with Honors in Leningrad Medical Institute, medical faculty.In 1989 - Ph.D. thesis defense. Topic of the thesis "Clinical and physiological analysis of spasmodic torticollis". In 2000 – Doctorate thesis, topic "The focal dystonia: clinical features, pathogenesis, treatment with botulinum toxin". Dr Orlova – is the founder and leading expert in botulinotherapy in Russia. One of her main professional success is introduction of botulinotherapy into clinical practice; the main interest is to study muscle dystonias and other movement disorders and the development of therapeutical approaches with botulinum toxin. Some the new trends are the works in functional dentistry and aesthetic neurology; within these fields Dr Orlova provides master classes and academic cycles, as well as implements these techniques into clinical practice.Dr Orlova is the founder and the president of the Russian Botulinum Toxin Society and co-founder of "Russian National Society for Parkinson's disease and movement disorders", member of Ethics Committee of the Society of Aesthetic Medicine.
