Dr. Le Tan Hung, M.D., Ph.D.

Specialist in Maxillofacial and Aesthetic Surgery

- In 1997: graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh City

- In 2015: completed his Ph.D. in Maxillofacial Aesthetic Surgery in 2015.

Dr. Hung has held significant roles, including serving as the Head of the Aesthetic Surgery Department at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital. He is also a lecturer at both the university and the International Association of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgeons (AOCMF), where he shares his expertise with fellow surgeons worldwide.

With years of advanced training in Taiwan, South Korea, the United States, and Canada, Dr. Hung has continually updated his knowledge and skills in cosmetic surgery, particularly in the field of maxillofacial procedures.  

- In 2007:  became the first Vietnamese surgeon to successfully perform jaw correction and V-line face surgery abroad in Taiwan.

- In 2012: received the “Outstanding Contribution” award from the Vietnam Young Doctors Association for his work on V-line face surgery and jaw correction.

- From 2009 to 2015: the first Vietnamese surgeon to present successful cases of these procedures at major conferences in Vietnam

- In 2017: presented groundbreaking research, including the first-ever study in Vietnam on complex upper-lower jaw rotation surgery for underbite treatment at ICOMS in Hong Kong.

- In 2018, Dr. Hung became the first Vietnamese doctor to present a new technique for lip reduction through aesthetic orthodontics at ISAPS in Miami.

- Now: the Director of Hung Vuong Aesthetic Surgery Institute
