Prof Gary D MONHEIT

Dr Gary Monheit is a dermatologic surgeon in Birmingham, Alabama, USA.  He is a Clinical Professor of Dermatology and Ophthalmology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and is President of Total Skin and Beauty Dermatology Center. He specializes in Cosmetic Dermatology, Surgery and Mohs' Surgery for skin cancer. He is the past president of The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and also past president of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He is a senior editor for the Journal of Dermatologic Surgery and the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology. He has been involved in original clinical research for many cosmetic products and procedures including botulinum toxins, filler and injectables and fat removal products. He has contributed many original scientific papers to journals and written book chapters on chemical peeling, botulinum toxins and soft tissue fillers for skin and facial rejuvenation. He has been elected 'Best Doctors in America' for the past 22 years in Dermatologic Surgery and Cosmetic Dermatology. He was awarded a chair for dermatologic surgery in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Alalbama Birmingham.
