Biografía
Dr. Victor Joseph ‘VJ’ Yamat is the Managing Director for Havas Life in Southeast Asia. Based in Singapore, he is responsible for developing Havas’ specialized healthcare practice across the region.
Previously, VJ was Managing Director of McCann Health Philippines and also served as Vice President for McCann Worldgroup. Prior to McCann Health, VJ was the very first employee of Publicis Healthcare Communications Group (PHCG) in Greater China, representing both Publicis Life Brand s and Saatchi Health. As Senior Vice President, he was responsible for building a team to quickly service existing global relationships and identifying local agencies for acquisition . VJ also headed the Ogilvy Health operations in Singapore and the Manila office of Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide.
A medical doctor by training, VJ went through the rigors of med school (pre-med at the University of the Philippines, medical school proper at the University of the East College of Medicine) and an MBA program at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business. VJ is also active in public speaking circles, mostly geared towards healthcare communications and the Academe.
