I see that Dr is rubbing the needle puncture site rather than applying pressure I Determine the Bleeding time and Clotting time Pre-procedure and apply constant pressure at bleeding point, more than Systolic BP for at least 1min in excess of Bleeding time This way it is less messy. Also i would always ask my assistant to cap my needle once withdrawn, Helps prevent accidents if patient moves.or winces suddenly. (for novices).
