Objectives: This talk wil focus on the science behind adipose matrix allograft fat replacement:

Introduction: There are a wide variety of useful dermal filler agents of many types. All generally lead to a production of collagen, elastin and mucopolysaccharides in various amounts. None lead to replacement of lost adipose tissue – a significant aesthetic issue in many patients with volume loss.

Materials / method: This presentation looks at the science behind adipose matrix allograft injections for volume loss.

Results: Both clinical and histologic evaluations will be presented including recent studies showing that adipose matrix allograft fat injections lead not only to fat replacement, but also production of new collagen.

Conclusion: Adipose matrix allograft fat replacement represents a totally novel approach to volume loss and adds to the tools we currently use to treat aesthetic patients.

Lasers and injectables, how to play this game?

Objectives: Facial Rejuvenation is becoming a widely demanded service in the Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery fields. Many techniques and procedures are being practiced to improve the skin condition and appearance.
The pathogenesis of skin aging and the factors influencing it should be kept in mind to select the suitable technique/procedure.

Introduction: In most of the cases, the pathology is multilevel and affecting more than one layer of the skin and dealing with only one layer would not give the optimum outcome.

Materials / method: While designing a rejuvenation plan for a patient, it is mandatory to be able to assess the altered anatomy and physiology of the skin and structures we work on. Once, we understand the pathology and the impairment of the structure and the function of each layer of the skin we will work on, we will be in a better position to decide what kind of combination therapy we will advise the patient to undergo.

Results: If it is decided to do a combination of lasers, energy based devices, fillers or neurotoxins, the next question will be which comes first.

Conclusion: Different scenarios will be presented during an interesting oral presentation with brain storming and live discussions with the attendees about how to plan and which comes first among the different procedures.

A mix of biostimulators: basics & practical procedure

Objectives: understand how to mix different biostimolators to get better results

Introduction: mix different biostimolators is a new wave to improve results with particular materials and in particular patients

Materials / method: the author has long experience in mixing different materials. It is possible mix different products in the same session but in different levels with a biostimolation or it is possible to mix different materials in the same vial to combine and improve results of different materials.

Results: with detailed techniques, the right mixing risults are very interesting and complications very low, quite the same as single materials injections

Conclusion: the combination of non mixed different materials in the same session in different levels, or the combinations of different materials mixed in the same vial and so in the same level are possible indications in particulare patients, well indicated. Complications are very low.
