Introduction: Barbed threads if used in the correct way can offer results that filler and toxin cannot achieve. this is because are the only devices that can offer a real lifting effect without swelling and adding materials and volume. To learn how to use the barbe is very important that the physician are the to do the net step in terms of aknolegment of anatomy and technique

Materials / method: In the last 5 years the author have done more then 1000 thousand treatment with barbed threads. A lot of these patient are been suitable of combined treatment with threads and filler to obtain better results

Results: The author examine his database of more then 1000 treatment with threads focusing on result, technique and complications

Conclusion: Barbed threads are a great procedure to improve the aesthetic results in our patients. We believe that to combine with others procedures as fillers, toxin and energy devices is the modern approach that any aesthetic doctors should make it his own
