Dr Gi Woong HONG

Dr. Gi-Woong HONG is a M.D., Ph. D., Board-certified Plastic Surgeon and the president of SAMSKIN Plastic Surgery Clinic, Korea. 

Dr. HONG is an active member in various prestigious associations in Korea including The Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, The Korean Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, The Korean Society for Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, The Korean Society for Microsurgery, Japan Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Korean Association of Stem Cell Therapy.

He is also the President of ICALA (International Clinical Aesthetic Leaders Academy), a faculty of the Scientific Committee of Korean Association of Minimally Invasive Plastic Surgery and advisory board member of Restylane®.

Dr. Hong has been in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery for over 20 years and he is also well known for his minimally invasive cosmetic procedures such as SSRT (skin and SMAS layer remodeling technique) for lifting effect by filler injection, dual plane filler injection for total facial contouring, oval face Botulinum Toxin cocktail injection for V-shaped face and various thread lifting methods like SMAS tightening technique.

He is famous for writing many books and papers on minimally invasive cosmetic procedures. He also has lectured and presented at many national and international scientific meetings and conferences on aesthetic plastic surgery. In addition, he runs a national filler injection workshops several times every year and trains many other aesthetic practitioners through the filler hands on course.
