Dr Mayoni GOONERATNE

Miss Mayoni Gooneratne is a Colorectal and Pelvic Floor Surgeon and has completed a period of research towards a PhD investigating the neuromodulation of the large bowel. During this time, she developed a keen interest in understanding and managing faecal incontinence which has now extended into the treatment of urinary incontinence. She has presented both nationally and internationally as well as authoring scientific papers and book chapters.

In more recent years, she has established a thriving aesthetics clinic in South East London where the ethos is based around allowing patients a safe environment to discuss their concerns and become the best version of themselves. The Clinic by Dr Mayoni has been highly commended for ‘Best New Clinic in UK and Ireland 2017’ by Aesthetics Awards.

She has been a member of the Royal College of Surgeons since 2002. She is a KOL for Viveve and Plexr, as well as being an educator and trainer for Cosmetic Courses and the Oculofacial Aesthetics Academy.   When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family and visiting art galleries.
