Dr Rolf Markus SZEIMIES

After receiving his MD in 1989 from Munich University, Prof. Szeimies joined the Dept. of Dermatology, Regensburg University Hospital for speciality training. Until Oct 2009 he hold a position finally as Associate Professor. Since Nov 2009 he is Head of the Dept. of Dermatology & Allergology, Klinikum Vest, Recklinghausen. His PhD thesis was accepted in 1997 for research in PDT in dermatology. At present, his main research interests are in dermatooncology, allergology and photobiology, especially PDT for NMSC and aesthetic indications. Prof. Szeimies published more than 180 articles in peer reviewed journals and over 40 chapters in books. He is past-president of the German Society for Photobiology, and vice-president of the EURO-PDT.
