Dr. Tsai-Ming Lin is a board-certified plastic surgeon based in Taiwan, internationally recognized for his innovations in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery. He is the pioneer of Micro-Autologous Fat Transplantation (MAFT)—a precision-based fat grafting technique—executed exclusively with his patented invention, the MAFT-GUN®, a micro-scale fat and filler injector designed to enhance procedural safety, consistency, and efficacy.
Dr. Lin has been invited to speak at leading scientific conferences around the globe, where he shares his expertise in micro-fat grafting and regenerative surgery. His contributions to the field are extensively documented, with over 100 peer-reviewed publications indexed in SCI journals, and more than 30 key articles focused on MAFT published in top-tier journals such as Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (PRS), PRS Global Open, Aesthetic Surgery Journal, Annals of Plastic Surgery, Clinics in Plastic Surgery, Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery, and Journal of Craniofacial Surgery. He is also the author of a comprehensive digital textbook dedicated to the MAFT technique.
Dr. Lin received his M.D. and completed his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Kaohsiung Medical University Hospital (KMUH) in Taiwan. He later pursued a fellowship in stem cell research at Michigan State University, USA, focusing on the isolation and application of Adipose-Derived Stem Cells (ADSCs). He earned his Ph.D. from KMUH with a research emphasis on regenerative medicine and adipose tissue engineering.
