Objectives: The science of reverse aging makes it possible to identify the hallmarks in which we can act to reverse the functionality of the skin. One of the hallmarks identified by the researchers is nutrition. The lifestyle influences our micro-nutrients at body level, but also at skin level, and the supplementation with cosmetic product is essential. Used in dermatological procedures, micro-nutrient skincare becomes the best ally for preparing, recovering, and optimizing results. In this study, we measured how a micro nutrient cosmetic product optimize a dermatological procedure.

Introduction: Dermatological procedures are becoming more and more common these days, providing rapid stimulation and regeneration of the skin. These procedures are sometimes quite invasive and can lead to a more or less long-lasting skin imbalance, resulting in a recovery phase. The protocol we have set up will enable us not only to measure the action of the cosmetic product when it is applied before the dermatological procedure is carried out, but also afterwards, for rapid regeneration and optimization of the results of the procedure.

Materials / method: The protocol is designed to be as complete as possible, and is carried out with the help of dermatologists against placebo, before, during and after a non-ablative fractional laser procedure, at different times and on different skin colors a.

Instrumental measurements of the efficacy of various parameters such as barrier function, temperature, wrinkles, redness, volume and collagen content highlighted the product's contribution when used before the procedure, immediately compared to a placebo.

Results: The skin recovered much faster on the panel that used the product before and during the recovery phase vs the placebo. The procedure's performance was also significantly different on optimizing results after 1, 2 and 3 months.

Conclusion: The optimization and efficiency of dermatological procedures is a goal that physicians but also patients are looking for. It seems important to identify cosmetic products that can help with better preparation, recovery, and optimization of results. The micro-nutrition pathway is very interesting because it will act on the cellular functionality stimulated by the procedure.
