Objectives: To introduce a dual-thread technique using PDO braided scaffold and cog threads for periorbital rejuvenation. The goal is to enhance infraorbital support, correct tear trough deformity, and lift lateral brow tissues while promoting collagen synthesis and achieving natural, multidimensional results.
Introduction: The eye area is prone to early aging signs such as hollowness, sagging, and fine lines. Traditional treatments may not fully address structural and dynamic issues. A novel thread-based approach combining support and lift may offer a safer, effective, and more natural-looking alternative.
Materials / method: PDO braided scaffold threads were inserted in the infraorbital area for volumization and collagen stimulation. PDO cog threads were applied to the lateral canthal and brow areas for lifting. Threads were placed in anatomical vectors using blunt cannulas under local anesthesia. Patients were followed for up to 6 months.
Results: Patients demonstrated improved infraorbital fullness, brow elevation, and smoother periorbital contours. No major complications were reported. Skin texture and density showed gradual improvement over 3–6 months, with high patient satisfaction and natural outcomes without overfilling or distortion.
Conclusion: The dual-thread technique offers a safe and effective option for periorbital rejuvenation. By combining PDO braided scaffolds and cog threads, this method addresses both volume loss and sagging tissues, delivering natural, long-lasting results with minimal downtime and reduced complication risk.
