Introduction: Defining the chin and mandible line is essential for youthful neck contouring. Deep plane neck lifting offers significant improvements, but submandibular gland resection carries risks. This study presents a precise, gland-preserving approach to enhance the chin-mandible line safely.
Materials / method: A retrospective review was conducted on 95 patients treated with deep plane neck lifting excluding submandibular gland resection. Fat repositioning, platysmal band management, and skin tightening techniques were applied. Outcomes were assessed through clinical photographs and patient satisfaction surveys.
Results: Patients showed significant improvement in chin and mandible definition without gland resection. High satisfaction rates (89%) were observed. Complications were minimal, with transient bruising in 12% of cases and no major adverse events.
Conclusion: Chin and mandible line enhancement can be safely achieved through precise deep plane neck lifting without submandibular gland resection. This approach delivers natural results, minimizes risks, and preserves patient safety.
