The concept of fixed and mobile SMAS is nothing new- Dr Brian Mendelson has been teaching this concept for over 10 years and has demonstrated it in his Melbourne Advanced Facial Anatomy Course (MAFAC). The concept is well known and accepted within the plastic surgery literature.
