Objectives: - Discover a new approach in facial contour reshaping using second generation recombinant enzymes.
- Explore diverse application techniques used in the treatment with recombinant enzymes and analyze the most successful ones.
- Share the results of new clinical experiences resulting from a recent collaboration project between an international group of KOLs and experts.
- Discuss the evolution in the use of recombinant enzymes in dermatology within the past years.
Introduction: Dermo-aesthetic medicine is constantly changing due to trends requested by patients, the introduction of new procedures and the development of advanced techniques for the treatment of various conditions with a 360º perspective.
Treatment based on recombinant enzymes has also evolved over time, not only with biotechnological advances that allow the use of products designed for specific indications and minimally invasive devices approved by various authorities worldwide, but also as a base therapy for the comprehensive approach of different facial and body pathologies.
Materials / method: In this new approach to face contour-reshaping with second generation recombinant enzymes, we take advantage of the synergistic effect of enzymes - lyase, lipase and collagenase - together with AH-APM to modify tissue mechanisms, renew the extracellular matrix, reduce the volume of adipose tissue and act directly on the elimination of fibrotic tissue.
Results: We will review and discuss the promising and successful results of new clinical experiences obtained in a recent collaboration project between an international group of KOLs and experts, turning the spotlight on the facial reshaping cases.
Conclusion: Today, the results and recommendations for the treatment of double chin reduction and facial reshaping are shared with the medical community; tomorrow, this global experience will increase, and new indications will be incorporated for a promising future in the treatment of various pathologies with recombinant enzymes.
