Objectives: To show the effect of PRP and it’s applications in the field of cosmetic dermatology

Introduction: The aging process happens to all individuals and is a growing concern to both men and women who constantly seek new procedures and techniques to improve their skin and body.Several methods and devices are currently used for skin and hair rejuvenation but PRP is the only procedure that is autologous.
PRP concentrates a high number of platelets in small volume of plasma which secrete bio active Pr- including GF and signaling Pr- that are vital to initiate and accelerate tissue repair and regeneration.

Materials / method: The preparation of PRP is simple, and rapid but depending on the kit that you use.In my practice,I use the Regen Lab device as it is easy to use.
8 ml blood is taken from the peripheral vein using Na citrate as anticoagulant then it is collected in a provided test tube and centrifuged at 3500 rpm at 8 min producing a 5ml PRP.It is then immediately injected to target areas.I don’t use exogenous activator anymore as I believe collagen is a natural activator.
Technique of injection is intradermal,spaced at 1 cm apart.

Results: For skin rejuvenation on face and neck,result maybe seen even just after the first treatment after 3-4 weeks.But of course,for optimal result,it will need more sessions at 2-4 week interval.It is also effective in the treatment of Melasma ,hand rejuvenation and Alopecia which I will show in my presentation.

Conclusion: PRP can be used to enhance several procedures in Cosmetic Dermatology for faster and improved healing.It can be a good alternative in the treatment of long standing Melasma and give promising results in the treatment of Alopecia.
PRP is not a stand alone treatment though.For optimal result,it maybe combined with other treatment modalities like topicals,,micro needling,chemical peeling,lasers and oral meds.
Due to limited studies on clinical efficacy and safety ,further studies are required to investigate the mechanism of action behind the therapeutic effects of PRP and its long term safety.

Introduction: Implementing treatments that provide long-term efficacy while being minimally invasive and safe to administer is one of the most difficult challenges in the advancement of aesthetic medicine and plastic surgery. Regenerative medicine is a new, modern, evidence-based, multidisciplinary approach that uses autologous components in order to stimulate the processes of regeneration of tissues and organs. A variety of therapies have been shown to produce satisfactory results. Platelet-rich plasma, adipose-derived stem cells, stromal vascular fraction therapies are becoming more widely available.

Materials / method: Even though these autologous therapies can handle the current demand, various other developments, such as exosomes and autologous fibroblast therapy, are being explored to improve results even further.
The PRP-based substrate and stem cells are the two types of autologous substrate commonly used in these procedures. Additionally, stem cell sources can be bone marrow, fat, and circulatory blood.

Results: We have performed more than 200 aesthetic procedures in face refreshment, treating wrinkles, scars, and soft tissue defects.

Conclusion: Depending on the indications and the specific condition of the patient, we are trying to obtain an autologous substrate that will be highly personalized and will enable us to get the best treatment results. Different therapies are emerging to treat and reverse the signs of ageing. Considerable insights into the molecular pathways driving repair and regeneration have suggested new therapeutic targets and provided a scientific rationale for future clinical trials.

Objectives: In recent years, regenerative medicine has become an emerging practice in the international aesthetic surgery community. Adipose-derived stem cell (ASC) is a potential source of abundant mesenchymal stem cells, which can be applied to promote tissue regeneration.

Introduction: The mechanism underlying the ASC-associated tissue regeneration has yet been thoroughly understood, but it probably involves increased collagen deposition, reduction of inflammatory states, and several paracrine effects of ASCs.

Materials / method: In September 2018, the Ministry of Health and Welfare Taiwan issued the Regulations Governing Specific Cellular Therapeutic Technology, which conditionally allowed clinical application of six cell therapy technologies with ascertained safety and efficacy.

Results: The clinical use of ASCs was initially included for five indications: chronic wound, large-area burn injury, subcutaneous/soft tissue deficiency, osteoarthritis/knee cartilage defect and adjuvant superficial minimally invasive techniques. However, the last indication was deleted in 2020.

Conclusion: Through this talk, we will discuss about the new developments of ASC-based regenerative therapy. Moreover, we will give a brief overview regarding the necessary steps to perform such a cell therapy in compliance with the current regulations in Taiwan.

Objectives: step by step description of an innovative technique

Introduction: The indications for fat processed in nanofat are increasing steadily. In classical nanofat preparation, the fat is disrupted between two syringes. The authors describe their experience of processing of fat with a closed system of extraction of SVF. Clinical applications of the enriched nanograft (EN) produced by this system are described. Experimental results, set up to establish the cellular contents of EN, are presented.

Materials / method: 68 aesthetic and functional gynecological performed with EN grafting in Milan and Moscow were enrolled . The average duration of the procedure was 19 minutes. EN samples were analyzed for cell viability. The stem cell quality was investigated by culturing the cells in standard media.

Results: No viable adipocytes were observed in the EN sample. Adipose- derived stem cells were still richly present in the SVF extracted by the close system and in the EN sample. Cell cultures showed a high proliferation and differentiation capacity of the stem cells. Clinical applications showed remarkable improvements 2 months post treatment. No infections, fat cysts, granulomas, or other unwanted side effects were observed.

Conclusion: EN injections might become a new concept in aesthetic and functional gynaecology.
