Objectives: High definition Lipoabdominoplasty is probably the state of the art technique in today's managenet of saggy and fatty abdomen.Abdominoplasty which was initially started as an excisional surgery has advanced into an anatomically defined abdomenJudicious combination of concomitant liposuction and excision has resulted in a safe and sensate abdomen.Liposuction gives a sliding sensate flap and limits the dissection which thereby avoids the vascular complications associated with abdominoplasty

Introduction: Today abdominoplasty means only lipoabdominoplasty.Liposuction is not used here as method for cosmetic improvement.It is if done the right way is a physiologically sound method to achieve a safe and robust flap

Materials / method: About 124 abdominoplasties done in the past 10 years were studied for the aesthetic out come and complications.36 patients had associated anterior abdominal wall hernias.With some modifications in the method of lipoabdominoplasty, all cases were managed incorporating the lipoabdominoplasty technique. All case were done without a drain

Results: The ultimate outcome was far superior than the the traditional abdominoplasty.The vascular complications were very minimal.Seroma was 0.4 %.Umblical scar had some keloidal outcome in few patients.

Conclusion: Lipo abdominoplasty is definitely a safe method to manage damaged abdominal wall.It not only boosts the vascularity,sensation also protected.

Objectives: Herein, the value of classic reparative techniques including flap surgery and the merits of regenerative medicine for acute injuries and post-injury scars and their sequelae are discussed.

Introduction: Regenerative medicine offers legitimate solutions for the management of cutaneous wounds and scars. The treatment of thermally inflicted wounds in particular may benefit from the less invasive regimen that regenerative medicine offers.

Materials / method: Burn injuries and scars were treated with various regenerative approaches including cell (keratinocytes or SVF cells) and growth factor therapy, biological and synthetic dermal substitutes and cultured epidermal-dermal grafts retrospectively. Outcomes were compared with the standard treatment consisting of skin grafts for acute injuries and flap surgery for burn scar reconstruction.

Results: Cell and growth factor therapy is minimal-invasive but results in inconsistent, unpredictable results. Cultured dermal-epidermal grafts appear to be favorable in the acute setting but less effective in reconstructive procedures. Dermal substitutes were used in 30 patients and showed favorable vascularization and granulation in static areas. For the reconstruction of joints and other dynamic areas, however, the rate of major complications such as re-contractures or loss of transplants was high (43.33%) for dermal substitutes. Here, thin perforator flaps showed superior results.

Conclusion: While no approved regenerative medical alternatives to skin grafting for the treatment of deep acute burn injuries are accessible to date, cultured epidermal-dermal grafts may offer a huge advantage in the near future. Dermal substitutes offer feasible solutions for static areas and can act in salvage situations. For critical areas including joints and the neck, thin perforator flaps are the mainstay in the treatment course.

Objectives: The primary objective of this study is to highlight the perioperative evaluation, satisfaction scoring, and surgical outcomes of breast augmentation surgeries in transgender patients which have been studied retrospectively, in a single tertiary care institute.

Introduction: The eagerness to opt for gender-affirming surgeries (GAS) has been very popular amongst the transgenders. As a part of “top surgery” for the treatment of gender dysphoria, implant-based breast augmentation is the most sought-after procedure performed the Plastic Surgeons worldwide. The overall outcome, and satisfaction following surgery have been highlighted in this study.

Materials / method: This is a retrospective analysis of the 46 patients, who had undergone implant-based breast augmentation, conducted at a single tertiary care center from 2019 January to 2023 December. The study encompasses the patient's characteristics, surgical background, and postoperative outcome. Patient satisfaction scoring was taken in the form of Breast Q scoring defining the need for re-surgery and the overall aesthetic outcome of the procedure.

Results: All the cases involved transgender women who had a previous history of hormonal therapy of 4-6 months duration before opting for surgery. In all 46 cases, silicone implants were placed in the subfascial pocket created. Complications such as surgical site infection, capsular contracture, and late scarring were enlisted in each patient. Scar contracture was noticed in 4 patients, and capsular contracture was noticed in 8.7% of patients. The surgical satisfaction questionnaire revealed high scores in >70% of patients. The chance of reoperation is minimized in these patients.

Conclusion: In regular aesthetic practice, even though breast augmentation cases are commonly performed choosing the best-sized implant has always been a matter of concern. Often, post-surgery these patients often feel unhappy about the implant size. Hence the Surgeon, should always be aware of their needs both pre and postoperatively by building a strong rapport and deciding accordingly the best implant for the patient.
