Objectives: ​Microneedle RF can significantly improve collagen and dermal production by generating heat through the delivery of a fluctuating electrical current that causes charged atoms and molecules in the dermal tissues to collide . In addition , microneedle RF can potentially offer a direct pathway for transdermal drug delivery (TDD) . Combining microneedle RF with other aesthetic treatments would increase therapeutic efficacy and patient satisfaction. Thus, the current study explores the combination of multiple cosmetic treatments with microneedle RF drug delivery for the most effective outcome

Objectives: 1. Understand the Principles of the single probe bipolar RF Dual Layer Technique – Explain the fundamental concepts behind the method, including its scientific basis, material composition, and how it enhances performance
2. Demonstrate Proper Application of the Dual Layer Technique – Apply the technique effectively by mastering the correct layering process, ensuring optimal adhesion, durability, and functionality in practical scenarios.
3. Evaluate the Benefits and Limitations of the Dual Layer Technique.

Introduction: The aging neck presents a unique challenge in aesthetic medicine due to skin laxity, fat accumulation, and muscle banding. Single probe bipolar radiofrequency (RF) offers a minimally invasive solution. The Dual Layer Technique targets both the subdermal and deep fibroseptal planes, promoting skin contraction and structural remodeling. This method enhances safety, efficacy, and durability in neck contouring procedures.

Materials / method: This technique uses a single bipolar RF probe applied in two sequential layers: a deep fibroseptal network pass to tighten structural support, followed by a superficial subdermal pass for dermal contraction. Energy settings are tailored by zone. Tumescent infiltration ensures thermal protection. The probe is moved in slow, controlled passes, guided by real-time temperature feedback. Proper technique ensures uniform heating and optimal tissue response.

Results: Clinical outcomes in over 100 patients demonstrate improved cervicomental angle, skin firmness, and definition of the jawline. Results were evident within 4–6 weeks and continued to improve over 3 months. No major complications were reported. Mild edema and bruising resolved within 5–7 days. Operator feedback indicates high reproducibility, minimal learning curve, and strong patient satisfaction.

Conclusion: The single probe bipolar RF Dual Layer Technique offers a safe, effective, and reproducible method for non-surgical neck reshaping. By addressing both superficial and deep tissue layers, it maximizes tissue contraction and contour definition. This approach enhances outcomes while minimizing downtime, making it a valuable addition to the modern aesthetic practitioner’s toolkit.

Objectives: This study evaluated the efficacy and safety of a fractional unipolar RF device for periorbital wrinkle treatment.

Introduction: Non-ablative fractional laser and radiofrequency are popular for treating periorbital fine wrinkles owing to their no downtime and low risk of side effects. Among the various techniques, a noninvasive fractional unipolar radiofrequency (RF) device has been used as a treatment option for various types of rhytids.

Materials / method: Ten patients treated for periorbital wrinkles using a fractional unipolar RF device were evaluated. Fractional unipolar RF was applied to the periorbital area every 2-3 weeks for a total of 5 sessions. No topical anesthetic was applied during the procedure. Efficacy was assessed using the Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale(GAIS) and Glogau classification. Pain scores and adverse events were checked.

Results: Eight female and two male patients with a mean age of 48.6 years, ranging from 40 to 60 years, were included in this study. Five patients showed GAIS scoring 1 (very much improved), and the other five patients showed GAIS scoring 2 (improved). Among the patients, 90% reported a pain score of 1, while 10% reported a pain score of 2. No adverse events, such as burns or hyperpigmentation, were observed.

Conclusion: We demonstrated the efficacy and safety of the fractional unipolar RF device in treating periorbital wrinkles. Our study suggests that it offers improvement in periorbital fine wrinkles in the Asian population.
