Objectives: We must know to distinguish between “Bio stimulatory Threads” and “Suspension Threads”, their insertion and MAC both are different even their longevity is different. They need complex and articulated planning and implant technique. The learning is of different methods is rather complex and can end up into different complications. Hence it is recommended to start with the soft threads and uncomplicated techniques.
Introduction: Introduction of absorbable threads in aesthetic medicine has been the main innovation for last few years. However rapid succession of various typologies has given rise to a certain confusion in patients and doctors. To remedy this misunderstanding it is best to shed light on types of implantable to address their safety.
Materials / method: Threads with different composition and their insertion properties will be discussed with case histories along with video demonstration of handling complications. Accumulate experiences of past years with safety of using biocompatible HA coated multidirectional barb sutures placed with the cannula are more softer, uniform and create even gathering of soft tissues with better outcome.
Results: By planning and selecting the right method, knowledge of topographic anatomy considering the fascial muscle kinetics and pathogenesis of fascial ageing, we can reduce complications or threads and do better planning for good outcome.
The presence of significant percentage of complications indicated that the implant of suspension thread requires a good knowledge of the technique which can be obtained with adequate training.
Conclusion: Use of multi directional barb sutures coated with HA is simple, conservative procedure that leaves no visible scar. Histologically has proven to form more collagen and elastic due to its combination of PCL/PLA and less connective tissue formation and fibrotic scar due to HA anti-inflammatory properties following right labeled techniques results in no complications.
