BIODERMOGENESI - Evolution in the treatment of major burns: recovery of life quality and reduction of the social costs

Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment with VEMF THERAPY on scar tissue of large burns in terms of: change in the appearance of the scar, change in associated painful symptoms, change of scar retraction and any associated functional deficit impact on the quality of life of the patient in response to the treatment.

Introduction: The development of trauma scars is not only a medical and psychological problem but also a picture with social impact. There are no methods for scars' treatment that have been unanimously approved by the health system. The therapy is entirely at the patient’s expense, along with the difficult management of the often traumatic event. In addition, the scar may be accompanied by disabling outcomes where the scar retraction, with functional limitation and/or painful symptomatology, limits the resumption of work activity. This affects the entire society with a loss of human and economic resources.

Materials / method: Patients with extensive burn scars, associated to the aesthetic medicine clinic, were treated with sessions of VEMF THERAPY (Vacuum Electro-Magnetical Field) on a weekly basis with a total number of 10/12 sessions. The following factors were assessed: appearance of the scar (iconographic documentation), variation of tissues (ultrasound), skin characteristics (hydration state, pH, sebum production etc.), sensitivity, spontaneous or motion-induced pain; quality of life parameters such as pain medication consumption, sleep quality, possible resumption of daily activities and work activity (Dash)

Results: We observed an improvement in the appearance of the scars, with a reduction in the associated painful symptoms, until they disappeared. We also observed a reduction in the use of pain medications until they were discontinued, with improved quality of sleep and consequently resumption of daily activities.

Conclusion: The therapy with electromagnetic field and vacuum is presented as confirmed therapeutic proposal for treatment of scars, with proven effectiveness in the aesthetic and functional improvement of the same, ensuring affordable costs in the face of extensive results in terms of rehabilitation of the patients to resume their usual life.

PLURYAL - Pluryal densify and combination treatment: Aiming to improve skin quality and enhance patient satisfaction

Objectives: This study evaluates the effectiveness of Pluryal Densify, both alone and with other treatments, in improving skin quality and patient satisfaction. We analyze its impact on skin tone, fine lines, wrinkles, elasticity, and radiance. Additionally, we assess how combining it with other treatments optimizes results.

Introduction: BIANCA CLINIC specializes in aesthetic dermatology and plastic surgery, treating diverse patients. Due to rising demand for skin rejuvenation, the clinic frequently uses collagen boosters and injectables.
Pluryal Densify, a combination of polynucleotides (PN), non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid, and mannitol, improves hydration and skin quality.
This study examines its effectiveness alone and in combination with other treatments.

Materials / method: We reviewed clinical cases of Pluryal Densify, used alone or with other treatments.
・Patients: Had concerns like fine lines, pigmentation, and erythema.
・Treatment: Administered every 2-4 weeks over three sessions.
・Combination Therapy: Some patients received laser or microneedling.
・Evaluation: Assessed through before-and-after images and patient feedback on skin texture, hydration, and tone.

Results: ・Pluryal Densify alone improved skin tone, wrinkles, and radiance, with high patient satisfaction.
・Combination treatments further enhanced pigmentation and erythema reduction.
・Most patients saw long-lasting improvements, and over 75% wanted to continue treatment.
・No serious side effects were reported, confirming its safety.

Conclusion: Pluryal Densify effectively improves skin hydration, elasticity, and quality.
While effective alone, combination treatments enhance patient satisfaction and results.
This study suggests Pluryal Densify is a safe, versatile option for aesthetic practitioners seeking better skin rejuvenation outcomes.

PLURYAL - Clinical use of polynucleotide preparations in japanese patients: Case studies from our clinic

Objectives: Our clinic has been using various skin rejuvenation agents to help improve our patients’ skin quality. Recently, we have been using a polynucleotide preparation from Luxembourg, which includes three types of formulations. In particular, we use the formulation with mannitol for its added stability and effectiveness.

Introduction: During the COVID pandemic, we saw an increase in patients with facial redness and inflammatory skin issues due to prolonged mask wearing. Polynucleotide preparations have shown anti-inflammatory effect and help improve skin quality, making them well-suited for these cases. We also use combination device-based treatments to achieve better results.

In this presentation, we will share our best clinical practices for patient selection, applying treatments, and the results we observed in our case studies.

Conclusion: I normally use it on patients who would like to treat redness.
Quick results are seen on younger patients in their 20s.
As I showed in my clinical photos, for older patients in their 40s or above, by adding amino acid can enhance results.

I personally see nice results when combining with device treatment such as RF.
I have done different experiments with cannula and needle and mixing of Densify with lidocaine and sodium carbonate.
I do not see any difference in the results and the mixing of lidocaine and sodium carbonate had the least amount of pain.

Objectives: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of innovative BBDE crosslinked low concentrated HMW HA 7 mg/ml (21 mg in stringe 3 ml) associated to antioxidants protective phosphate buffer containing amino acids for the treatment of skin photoaging (J20 Photoaging of the skin according to International Classification of Diseases WHO 11th Revision) of the mid face area by using dermal injections were the aims of that study. Skin quality as non-medical indication was under clinical evaluation during the study.

Introduction: RRS® HA Long Lasting is composed of high molecular weight cross-linked hyaluronic acid associated with amino acids. The brand new UnHeating cross-linking technology is used in creating highly stabilized hyaluronic acid, resistant to degradation and stress, ensuring optimal rheology. HA is biocompatible, biodegradable, nontoxic, ubiquitous across all species no allergic reactions happen with its use, is the main component of ECM.

Materials / method: Prospective, post-marketing, interventional, comparative before-after, single-arm, non-randomized, open-label clinical investigation of the medical device containing viscoelastic, sterile, apyrogenic, buffered, BBDE-crosslinked sodium hyaluronate (HA) associated to antioxidants protective phosphate buffer with amino acids ( RRS HA LONG LASTING, Skin Tech Pharma Group, Spain ) administered to the patients with skin mid facial photoaging in a single session and a follow-up period of up to 28 days.
A total of 52 subjects were recruited and enrolled in the study.

Results: 29 subjects were found suitable for the study . This intervention involved the secondary investigator administered the product. According to the design study, evaluation of the degree of skin photoaging according to the Alexiades-Armenakas scale, wrinkles severity rate (WSRS), aesthetic improvement analysis GAI demonstrated high efficacy of hydrogel in mid face. At 14 days after the use, a notable average reduction of 11 % was observed in the Alexiades-Armenakas scale when compared to the baseline measurement.

Conclusion: The principal aim of this clinical investigation was to assess the efficacy of the RRS® HA LONG LASTING medical device in ameliorating the hydration levels of skin afflicted by photoaging on the mid face. Specifically, this study targeted subjects exhibiting mild to moderate photoaging, as categorized according to the Alexiades-Armenakas classification system, and individuals with nasolabial folds graded between 2 to 4 on the Wrinkle Severity Rating Scale (WSRS). Evaluation of results confirms high efficacy of one single treatment in mid face area and to low risk of adverse events.
