Objectives: The objectives are to educate the audience on the different noninvasive energy based device technologies (including newer technology or indications) and soft tissue injectables that the author uses together with facial aesthetic procedures. I will show how to incorporate these with smaller segue procedures in middle age as well as surgical face and necklifting procedures (in the more advanced aging population). Understanding the increased demand for these procedures with the advent of rapid medical weight loss with GLP-1 agonists (like semaglutide) and how to manage this is also discussed.
Introduction: The combination of nonsurgical device technology, cosmetic injectables, and tissue biologics in conjunction with and after facelifting has become an important part of her 100% aesthetic practice. Therefore, a review of current noninvasive technology used such as laser, radiofrequency-assisted liposuction, radiofrequency microneedling, and a newer parallel-beam ultrasound device will be done, along with injectables.
Materials / method: Injectables and noninvasive device technology for aesthetic indications are a huge part of the cosmetic practice, especially that of the plastic surgeon. A major increase in patients seeking medically-supervised weight loss with GLP-1s such as semaglutide in this practice has only added to the number of patients seeking noninvasive lifting and filling, as well as surgical rhytidectomy. Many cases are more complicated with a history of years of previous EBD technology and fillers applied under the skin in this generation of facelift patients seeking treatment.
Results: The presentation will also focus on the usage of advanced HA and non-HA injectable techniques, fat, and tissue biologics (such as exosomes and PRP) to enhance aesthetic results of various procedures such as facelift, necklift, blepharoplasty, browlift, and treatment of malar bags. The efficacy of these techniques when used with minimally invasive procedures such as RFAL , or as standalone treatments in our medical spa will be discussed; safe methods of combination therapy such as SUPERB (parallel beam ultrasound technology) and RF microneedling with or without dermal fillers will be detailed.
Conclusion: Using injectables and nonsurgical technology to improve the aesthetic appearance of concerns such as fine rhytides, pre-existing poor skin quality with lack of collagen and elastin, and recurrent jowling has been an indispensable and growing part of the author's practice. The synergy between the surgical and nonsurgical practice is examined, and this presentation will help the audience to understand how to maximize their usage of various newer indications for noninvasive devices. The rise in facelift patients is attributed to rapid weight loss with GLP-1 agonists and therefore younger patients
