Objectives: The study evaluates a novel 6-pulsed monopolar RF system operating at 6.78 MHz for facial lifting and skin tightening. Using real-time thermal monitoring to maintain skin temperatures at 44°C, it demonstrates significant lifting effects across five facial aesthetic units with enhanced safety and efficacy. The optimized protocol achieves superior results with only 200 shots, compared to 600 shots in older RF devices. Quantitative 3D analysis and bioimpedance measurements validate outcomes, highlighting the system’s potential for efficient, non-invasive facial lifting.
Introduction: The study examines the efficacy of a 6-pulsed monopolar RF system operating at 6.78 MHz for facial lifting and skin tightening. Real-time thermal monitoring maintains skin temperatures at 44°C, enabling consistent and safe application of energy. Significant lifting effects across five facial aesthetic units were observed, demonstrating enhanced safety and efficacy. The optimized protocol achieves better results with only 200 shots compared to 600 shots in older RF devices. Outcomes are validated through quantitative 3D analysis and bioimpedance measurements, underscoring the system's potential
Materials / method: Thirty-two patients were analysis in this retrospective study. Treatments were administered using a monopolar RF system with real-time thermal monitoring to ensure skin temperatures reached 44°C. Lifting and tightening effects were assessed immediately post-treatment, and at 2 weeks and 1 month, using 3D analysis. Real-time thermal monitoring ensured precise and safe application, allowing skin temperatures to be elevated to the target level. The lifting effects on five facial aesthetic units were analyzed using a 3D scanner at all evaluation points. Skin elesticity was measured.
Results: Significant improvements in facial lifting were observed across all measured points, with the jawline and forehead showing the most pronounced effects. Compared to older RF devices requiring 600 shots, the optimized protocol achieved superior results with only 200 shots.
Conclusion: This monopolar RF system demonstrates considerable potential for effective, non-invasive facial rejuvenation, offering significant improvements with fewer treatments and enhanced patient safety through real-time thermal monitoring. The study highlights the effectiveness of the optimized protocol in achieving significant facial lifting and skin tightening with reduced treatment shots. Unlike older RF devices requiring 600 shots, this protocol achieved excellent results with just 200 shots.
