Objectives: 1) 'Why your female clients care about their hair' - Understanding the growing market in hair improvement/restoration in women 2) Mechanisms behind female pattern baldness and the psychological impacts 3) Assessment, diagnosis, treatment options Introduction: - In the cosmetic industry we place a lot of focus on face - But hair makes up a huge part of a person’s self image and is one of the few aspects that we can change , adapt, control and revert - Loss of hair can impact self confidence - Women in particular place great emphasis on hair as part of their beauty - Loss of hair in women less frequent than men but greater impact - Under-served market.
