Цели: To share early clinical experience using ElaDerm, a vacuum-assisted needle radiofrequency platform with epidermal cooling, for the management of acne-prone, PIH-prone Asian skin. Введение: In Asian acne patients, successful treatment requires not only improvement of inflammatory lesions but also careful management of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, oiliness, enlarged pores, and downtime. Conventional energy-based treatments may be limited in pigment-prone skin when excessive epidermal thermal burden is created. Needle radiofrequency offers chromophore-independent intradermal energy delivery, and ElaDerm is designed to combine vacuum-assisted tissue capture, controlled RF delivery, and epidermal cooling to support a PIH-conscious acne treatment strategy. Материалы / методы: This presentation reviews a photo-based early clinical experience of 12 Asian patients with inflammatory facial acne, oily skin, and/or enlarged pores treated with ElaDerm in routine practice. Patients underwent 2–4 treatment sessions at 3–4-week intervals. Clinical response and tolerability were assessed using serial Mark-Vu imaging, physician visual assessment, patient-reported subjective improvement, downtime, and observation of pigmentary or device-related adverse events. Результаты: Serial Mark-Vu imaging showed visible improvement in inflammatory acne activity and overall skin texture in most patients after serial ElaDerm treatment. Patients commonly reported improvement in oiliness and skin quality. Downtime was approximately 2 days, mainly consisting of transient erythema and mild edema. No serious device-related adverse events were observed during routine follow-up. No unexpected pigmentary worsening was noted. Заключение: ElaDerm may be integrated as a practical device-based option for selected acne-prone Asian patients in whom inflammatory acne, oiliness, enlarged pores, and PIH concerns coexist. Vacuum-assisted depth targeting and epidermal cooling may support controlled dermal RF delivery while minimizing unnecessary epidermal stress. This PIH-conscious approach may be particularly relevant in Asian patients where acne clearance and pigment safety must be considered together.
