Dr. Lidiya N. Todorova, MD, PhD, is a dermatologist and clinical researcher in hair disorders based in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. She is a CEO and Owner of Follica: Hair & Scalp Clinic, a dedicated trichodermatology center (2026–present) and the first hair disorders dedicated medical clinic in the country. She is also Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Venereology at the Medical University of Plovdiv (2020–present), where she teaches undergraduate medical students and conducts academic research in inflammatory and autoimmune dermatologic diseases.
Dr. Todorova earned her PhD in Dermatology and Venereology in 2024 with a thesis titled “Alopecia Areata – Clinical and Therapeutic Studies,” focusing on clinical–immunological correlations and biomarkers in autoimmune hair disease. Her primary research interests include alopecia areata, autoimmune comorbidities, non-cicatricial alopecia, PRP therapy, trichoscopy, digital epidemiology, and emerging therapies in hair loss.
Dr. Todorova is an active member of EADV, IMCAS, and several international hair research societies, and is also an international speaker, including EADV and IMCAS, at dedicated dermatological and trichodermatological events.
