For the last two years, she has been doing a research in patients who undergone thyroidectomy and compared the efficacy of platelet rich plasma injection on the healing of thyroidectomy wound. Although this is a preliminary result but it shows benefit of using platelet rich plasma in patients that are prone to have scarring after surgery.
