Sebastien PIERRE

Dr Sébastien Pierre obtained a Chemical Engineering degree from the National Superior School for Synthesis, Process and Chemical Engineering of Aix-Marseille III in France. He then went on to do a PhD in Organic Chemistry at the Aix-Marseille III University, France. Whilst completing his PhD, Dr Pierre worked on the synthesis and preliminary testing of new anti-inflammatory drugs for Pfizer’s Research Centre in Fresnes and on the production of highly porous materials as highly defined supports for proteins/enzymes at DSM Research in Geleen, Netherlands. Dr Pierre has worked for Allergan Inc. since 2010 and is the Senior Research Manager for dermal fillers at the Research and Development site in Pringy, France. Dr Pierre develops new concepts for hyaluronic acid-based injectable products and works to improve patient comfort as well as researching new indications. He was also the project leader for the building of new research and development labs, which opened in early 2012. Prior to this role, Dr Pierre worked in the Netherlands as a Principle Scientist at Branching Tree Ltd on the evaluation of new drug delivery technologies and following his Post-doctoral position at DSM Research he worked there as a Research Scientist on the development of custom-made mandible implants for maxillo-facial surgery.
