Full face sculpting
Objectives: Injection protocols for face augmentation with Hyaluronic Acid (HA) changed over the time since we began to treat patients with HA for aesthetics. This presentation gives an overwiew of the diferent techniques and tipps how to achieve results of excellence. Full Face Sculpting goes beyond the recommended protocols and recommends an additionally personal approach in treating patients with HA for augmentation of the face.
Introduction: Once upon a time dermatologists and plastic surgeons began to use HA to treat static wrinkles and volume loss of the face after BTX has been very successful used in treating mimic wrinkles. We began in treating particular wrinkles and/or folds and developped our techniques which led to a new understanding of treatment.
Materials / method: In the beginning of the millenium years treating the nasiolabial fold (NLF) was the golden standard indication for using HA augmentation. With the invention and introducing of the canula technique by Bernhard Hertzog the HA augmentation got into a new sphare of the whole face approach. It was then Maurizio de Maio with his revolutionary MD Codes which changed the world of fillers entirely.
Results: Without any doubts the MD Codes were and still are a milestone in treating patients with HA fillers. The aim of any professional intervention is to achieve natural results where you cannot see the changement at first sight ("You dont see it, but you do"). Full Face Sculpting goes beyond the MD Codes and recommends an personal approach individualised to each single patient.
Conclusion: Getting a natural and aethetic result in face treating with HA is challenging. We do know several excellent protocols to achieve good results. Full Face Sculpting teaches you how to get to the point of excellence. Too less is as wrong as too much. With individualisation and sculpting like an artist after having used the common protocols (i.e. MD Codes) allows you to find the individual result of excellence.
