Facial rejuvenation with autosomal autologous plasma - My experience
Objectives: To study the use of autologous conditioned plasma for facial rejuvenation
Introduction: Plasma is the liquid portion of whole blood. It is composed largely of water and proteins, and it provides a medium for red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets to circulate through the body. Platelets, also called thrombocytes, are blood cells that cause blood clots and other necessary growth healing functions.Platelet rich plasma has been used since more than a decade in dermatology and aesthetic applications.ACP is a breakthrough and is more efficacious than PRP and delivers better results.
Materials / method: In aesthetic practices Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy is extensively used for antiageing and hair growth.As compared to PRP ,ACP requires Lower spin ,less trauma to cells allowing more stem cells to remain in the final PRF.ACP is spun at a lower speed, therefore no distinction of layers.Some wbcs and stem cells remain within the platelet layer that is collected for treatment. Thus has more healing factors than PRP.No anticoagulant. Creation of spongy fibrin matrix activates the platelets and allows for slow release of growth factors.It Has10 times the platelet concentration.
Results: - ACP delivers extremely gratifying results in reducing fine lines,
Periorbital rejuvenation and overall Skin toning and tightening,treating Acne scars, post traumatic scars and Stretch marks.Very promising results in Hair conditions like Androgenic Alopecia,Alopecia Areata, and Alopecia Barbae.
Promising treatment for Wound healing and non healing ulcers.
Conclusion: ACP is a more promising therapy than PRP.It is Less painful treatment,Has more concentration of Growth factors and Better Clinical, Histological & Aesthetic output
