Objectives: The present work explores the evolution of AI in cosmetic surgery covering the current status, challenges and future perspectives. Introduction: Rapid advancement in artificial intelligence (AI) and its recent application to the breast augmentation calls for a short review of current status and future prospects. Materials / method: Review of AI tools like Crisalix, BreastGAN, ABS is performed. Followed by challenges faced such as legal liabilities, geographical/ ethnic differences and lack of comprehensive dataset. In addition to these, issues around patient privacy, and regulatory framework and future perspectives are explored as well. Results: Future advancement in AI will allow doctors to automate the actual operating procedure with less human interference, better outcome and more satisfaction to patient. Conclusion: It is envisaged that the AI related concerns will be resolved in a comprehensive and timely manner to make it both a viable and attractive solution in the field of breast augmentation and other aspects of aesthetic surgery.
