Objectives: Sharing an experience of technologies selection in body contouring surgery according to patient’s factors, as well as principle to considered combine technologies to reach a maximal satisfaction without complication. Introduction: From past to present, there have been various technologies for invasive body contouring procedures. These included power-assisted liposuction(PAL), ultrasonic-assisted liposuction(UAL), radiofrequency-assisted liposuction(RFAL) , water-assisted liposuction(WAL) , Helium Plasma RF which used for subdermal skin tightening.The selection of appropriate machines that have different mechanisms of action to achieve the best outcomes in individual patients is always challenging. Materials / method: The technologies were selected based on the mechanism of action that fit with the patient's conditions such as age, gender, race, type of skin, thickness of subcutaneous fat layer, history of previous liposuction surgery and the area of surgery. The combined dual technologies of either UAL or WAL plus Helium Plasma RF, UAL or WAL plus RFAL were also used. The patient’s body image satisfaction and complications were observed. Conclusion: The combination of above-mentioned technologies used for body contouring could enhance a patient's satisfaction without major complication. Moreover, this may be an alternative option for the patients with minimal to moderate skin laxity who want to improve body contour with minimal invasive scar.
