Perioral rejuvenation: holistic minimal-invasive combination therapy
Objectives: Learning about the signs of perioral aging and using a minimally invasive combination treatment approach are essential for achieving holistic rejuvenation of the perioral region.
Introduction: The perioral region is a highly mobile area prone to the early manifestation of aging signs. The causes of aging in this area are complex, involving multiple layers and various etiologies. The current global trend in addressing perioral aging leans towards minimal invasive treatments, which often yield synergistic effects.
Materials / method: A comprehensive literature review and personal experiences regarding perioral aging reveals distinct changes such as sagging, volume loss, skin atrophy, and loss of elasticity, alongside the development of both static and dynamic wrinkles. Adopting a combination therapy approach utilizing various modalities to address the multiple layers and pathologies associated with perioral aging. Such a synergistic strategy holds promise for achieving holistic rejuvenation.
Results: A holistic approach with minimally invasive treatments, including injectable fillers, botulinum toxin A, lasers, and energy-based devices (EBDs), along with thread lifting, holds the promise of delivering superior results in addressing perioral aging.
Conclusion: Intelligently combining various minimally invasive modalities for perioral rejuvenation enhances outcomes and increases patient satisfaction.
