Objectives: - Share actual techniques used by ExAdEx-Innov company to monitor on a daily basis, the viability and physiology of human adipose tissue ex vivo culture - What are the criteria at tissue level to evaluate adipose tissue viability Introduction: ExAdEx-Innov is a biotech company specialized in applied research on human adipose tissue. We have developed the only technology that allows to keep real human adipose tissue viable and fully functional in culture during several weeks , so we have established differents procedures to evaluate AT viability at tissue level. Materials / method: - Metabolic activity to evaluate viability of adipose tissue - 3D confocal imaging to evaluate adipocyte size and volume, collagen composition and viability of vascular network - In vitro assay of physiology of Adipose tissue Results: - Scoring of adipose tissue viability based on metabolic activity, 3D structure, vascularization and functionnal assays Conclusion: With our internal quality control, we can monitor in a reproductible and with human data at tissue level, the viability of an adipose tissue sample with less expensive and faster methods that are commonly used
