Objectives: To discuss the efficacy and potential of Rainbow (ROYGBbP) Symbol, a methodological injection algorithm of hyaluronic acid (HA) filler, on Asian faces. Introduction: The consumption of injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers in Asian countries like China has been increasing tremendously in recent years. The optimization of HA filler application in Asian faces should be persistently explored. Rainbow (ROYGBbP) Symbol is a methodological injection algorithm of HA filler, which has been used in more than hundreds of Asian faces. Materials / method: Rainbow Symbol is a set of anatomical subunits to inject HA fillers. It divided the facial injected areas into seven groups, marked by rainbow colors: Red (temporal fossa) Orange (the strip area from nasal base to zygoma to hairline above ear along zygomatic arch) Yellow (area under zygomatic arch and buccal space) Green (posterior line of mandibular angle) Blue (chin, the area between the anterior buccal groove and the buccal-mental groove) black (junction area of frontal bone and nasal bone) Purple (forehead) Depth, volume tool and technique of injection are also included in Rainbow Symbol. Results: A multicenter study in China including 216 aesthetic patients showed 1 month, 6 months and 12 months after injection of HA filler according to Rainbow Symbol, 94.0%, 96.3% and 94.9% of the aesthetic patients rated their whole face appearance as "very much improved" or "much improved" on the GAIS, respectively. Significant Alleviation of tiredness can be observed in a 22-year female after injection in R and O area, he two most fundamental areas. Further improvements can be easily identified after Rainbow Symbol was completely fulfilled. Conclusion: Rainbow (ROYGBbP) Symbol, based on the anatomical feature and aesthetic culture of Asians, is a practical and efficient method to rejuvenate Asian aesthetics patients. It can be applied in a complete way or a simplified way according to the personalized requirement of the aesthetics patients.
