Objectives: High definition Lipoabdominoplasty is probably the state of the art technique in today's managenet of saggy and fatty abdomen.Abdominoplasty which was initially started as an excisional surgery has advanced into an anatomically defined abdomenJudicious combination of concomitant liposuction and excision has resulted in a safe and sensate abdomen.Liposuction gives a sliding sensate flap and limits the dissection which thereby avoids the vascular complications associated with abdominoplasty Introduction: Today abdominoplasty means only lipoabdominoplasty.Liposuction is not used here as method for cosmetic improvement.It is if done the right way is a physiologically sound method to achieve a safe and robust flap Materials / method: About 124 abdominoplasties done in the past 10 years were studied for the aesthetic out come and complications.36 patients had associated anterior abdominal wall hernias.With some modifications in the method of lipoabdominoplasty, all cases were managed incorporating the lipoabdominoplasty technique. All case were done without a drain Results: The ultimate outcome was far superior than the the traditional abdominoplasty.The vascular complications were very minimal.Seroma was 0.4 %.Umblical scar had some keloidal outcome in few patients. Conclusion: Lipo abdominoplasty is definitely a safe method to manage damaged abdominal wall.It not only boosts the vascularity,sensation also protected.
