Objectives: Scrotal lifts have been little studied, as evidenced by the scarcity of scientific publications, so the growing demand has left the field wide open to numerous advertisements on the Internet. Introduction: Unlike most organs, the “ideal model” of the scrotum has never been described. Many techniques published seem inappropriate as they are not based on a morphological foundation. Materials / method: This paper is therefore a real plea for a 3D-analysis of the scrotum, based on careful examination of the patient's scrotum. Results: We describe then the procedures applicable to each deformity so the scrotal lifting should be considered as a breast lifting. The location of the incisions must be chosen to create hidden scars. This surgery must be performed with an artificial erection through per-operative intra-cavernous injection of Prostaglandin E1. The association of the techniques is often mandatory so that highly modular design enables a very satisfactory correction in most cases. Conclusion: Our new concepts will help to the optimal surgical management in scrotal lifting in order to improve the quality of sexual life and self-esteem.
