Large-volume lipotransfers for facial rejuvenation and regenerative skin appearance
Objectives: Large-volume micro and nanofat transfer for facial treatment supported with PRP and collagen lift for the jawline and neck region
Introduction: To date, autologous fat transplantation in the facial area has mostly been performed as a supportive measure with volumes of up to 50 ml used.
By injecting up to 160 ml of fatty tissue, facial rejuvenation can also be performed as a stand-alone treatment without additional tightening operations.
Using the expansion vibration technique in the jawline and neck area and subsequent compression treatment, collagen-induced tightening can be achieved in these areas.
Materials / method: Over a period of 6 years, 43 patients were treated with lipotransfers in the facial area. In 36 cases, 100 to 160 ml of microfat was applied to the forehead, temples, zygomatic arches, tear troughs, nasolabial folds and chin area. In 7 patients, isolated nanofat was used for special indications such as (acne) scars and for skin rejuvenation. In 13 patients, expansion vibration lysis was used to induce a collagen lift in the jawline and neck area.
Results: Objectifiable, clear rejuvenation results have been achieved, with patients visually set back by around 10 years. An increased concentration of elastic fibers has regenerated in the skin, so that wrinkles have disappeared. Bulging scar keloids have been successfully reduced by nanofat/PRP treatments.
Conclusion: By using high-volume lipotransfers, this method can be used as a stand-alone measure for effective and long-lasting facial rejuvenation. The method is also suitable for the reconstructive treatment of pathological atrophy such as Bouchard's cheek fat bodies as in Rhomberg's disease. Nanofat applications can be used alone or in addition to microfat treatment in order to place it directly under the corium as part of mesotherapy for a stem cell boost. In addition, fat transfer to the chin and the Expantsion vibration lysis treatment in the neck area and on the jawlines shape the face into a youth
