Camouflaging malar mounds and prolapsed fat pads with HA filler: Technique with anatomical rationale
Objectives: Review the technique and anatomical rationale for camouflaging malar mounds and prolapsed fat pads with hyaluronic acid filler
Introduction: This lecture utilizes cadaver photographs to explain the complexity of the periorbital region including the malar septum's role in causing the majority of side effects in this area. An anatomical based technique to treat both of these conditions will be discussed in depth with the importance of both preventing and treating the most common side effect in this area - delayed onset swelling.
