Objectives: After attending the session, attendees should be able to: * Discuss expectations & results associated with facial rejuvenation with different treatment modalities including lasers and injectables. * Outline principles of selection of the appropriate modality for facial rejuvenation.. * Describe measures to minimize complications and sub-optimal results of lasers and injectables. * Discuss benefits, expectations, & results associated with injectables and lasers in facial rejuvenation. Introduction: Facial Rejuvenation is becoming a widely demanded service in the Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery fields. Many techniques and procedures are being practiced to improve the skin condition and appearance. The pathogenesis of skin aging and the factors influencing it should be kept in mind to select the suitable technique/procedure. In most of the cases, the pathology is multilevel and affecting more than one layer of the skin and dealing with only one layer would not give the optimum outcome. Materials / method: While designing a rejuvenation plan for a patient, it is mandatory to be able to assess the altered anatomy and physiology of the skin and structures we work on. Once, we understand the pathology and the impairment of the structure and the function of each layer of the skin we will work on, we will be in a better position to decide what kind of combination therapy we will advise the patient to undergo. If it is decided to do a combination of lasers, energy based devices, fillers or neurotoxins, the next question will be which comes first. Conclusion: Different scenarios will be presented during an interesting oral presentation with brain storming and live discussions with the attendees about how to plan and which comes first among the different procedures.
