Objectives: Introduce the concept of microcoring and show 2 different approaches to this treatment.
Introduction: Skin tightening without surgery has been an elusive goal. A novel approach to this goal is to remove small cores of skin which will lead to relative tightening once wound healing is complete.
Materials / method: Nonthermal microcoring study results will be summarized. The concept of "laser coring" will be introduced treatment discussed
Results: Outcomes including clinical photos from both thermal and nonthermal microcoring studies and treatments will be discussed
Conclusion: Microcoring can be a useful approach to nonsurgical skin tightening. This goal may be accomplished using thermal and nonthermal techniques. Additional data is required to draw further conclusions about optimal treatment paraments and patient selection.
