KPI, skills, expertise, and experience are not enough
Objectives: In a surgical based practice it is not merely the act of surgery that builds the practice. A successful strategy for building a firm foundation for practice management with a focus on the collective imagery for the practice, and reputation are essential to converting consultations to surgery.
Introduction: In today’s competitive field of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, surgical skills, expertise, experience and even beautiful results are not enough to sustain a surgical practice let alone expand one. A surgical practice’s staff plays a key role in a practice, from the management, coordination and the daily interactions of both new and old patients. It is no longer about just the surgical outcome that matters to patients, but the OVERALL patient care experience that the Practice provides each one.
Materials / method: With nearly 20 years of applied International surgical practice management experience, understanding what a surgical practice needs in terms of staff to maintain, improve and excel for optimal growth.
Results: When techniques are applied in a surgical practice management, you are addressing the most important aspect of your business; your staff. Building a staff that is inspired both mentally and emotionally, is well trained are essential to converting consultations to surgery.
Conclusion: In a surgical based practice it is not merely the act of surgery that builds a practice. Effective marketing can get more patients to enter your practice, but NO amount of marketing can fix what poor, even well-meaning staff, can cost in lost revenue.
