Clinical use of polynucleotide with mannitol in Japanese patients: Case studies from our clinic
Objectives: To define optimal patient selection criteria for polynucleotide with mannitol injections, and to explore the clinical benefits of combining this treatment with amino acids and energy-based devices for enhanced outcomes.
Introduction: During the COVID-19 pandemic, prolonged mask usage contributed to an increase in facial erythema and inflammatory skin conditions among Japanese patients. Polynucleotide with mannitol, known for its anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties, proved to be especially beneficial in these cases. In our clinic, we incorporated additional amino acids and device-based therapies to further optimize treatment efficacy and improve skin quality.
Materials / method: Polynucleotide with mannitol injectables were administered to patients with persistent facial redness and inflammation. In selected cases, treatment was combined with amino acid supplementation and energy-based devices to enhance results.
Clinical documentation included imaging by iPad (Apple Inc.), CASIO Derma Camera, dermascope, SONY α7 mirrorless camera, re-Beau (Japan), and Quantificare 3D system (Face/Body).
Results: Over 40Japanese patients were included. In elderly patients, diminished cutaneous amino acid levels necessitated supplementation to achieve comparable outcomes. Across the cohort, the combination of polynucleotide with mannitol, amino acids, and device-based therapy showed superior improvement in skin texture, redness, and overall dermal health compared to monotherapy.
Conclusion: This presentation will share clinical insights from real-world case studies in Japanese patients, emphasizing effective patient selection and treatment strategies. The integration of polynucleotide with mannitol injections, amino acids, and energy-based devices offers a comprehensive approach to managing inflammatory skin concerns and promoting long-term skin regeneration.
