Objectives: Many women attending esthetic medical practice are challenged by biological changes relating to advancing years that may also induce a diminished sense of attractiveness. These changes may adversely effect self-esteem, dignity, interpersonal relationships and sense of significance in society. The presentation aims to garner an appreciation of how non-invasive aesthetic interventions that can improve such concerns. Introduction: Many women approaching the peri-menopausal years are confronted with health issues that may reduce their quality of life including musculoskeletal disorders, metabolic syndrome, depression, vasomotor symptoms and sleep disturbances. A treating physician will need to address these organic medical disorders. However, non-invasive aesthetic interventions are often under-valued in the holistic management of age related challenges. Materials / method: The author will present an exploration of non-invasive aesthetic treatment options in early and late aging. Results: In the author’s experience, women frequently gain a huge improvement in self-esteem through bespoke aesthetic treatments. Conclusion: To effectively turn back time actually quite dramatically fulfills the yearning many patients have to experience the sense of hedonism associated with an appearance that invokes recollections of more youthful times or “yesterday when I was young”.
