Objectives: Know how to choose between the different techniques to improve the aesthetic appearance of the buttocks Introduction: There are various techniques for enhancing the buttocks. The choice can be difficult and must take several factors into account. Materials / method: The various techniques and their indications are described. The main parameters to be taken into account are described: the amount of fat present, the quality of the skin, excess skin, weight loss, the anatomy of the gluteal region and the patient's wishes. Results: An algorithmic analysis is provided, and clinical cases are presented for each technique. In some cases, techniques can be combined to achieve optimal results. Ideally, all the techniques should be able to be mastered by operators in order to be able to respond effectively to patient demand. Conclusion: Buttock enhancement or correction involves a wide variety of techniques that must be mastered and can be combined if necessary, by plastic surgeons.
